Wave Software Releases Version 5.2 of its Trident Pro Software
Upgrades in software include additional filtering options and faster processing
ORLANDO, FL. (November 04, 2008) –Orlando-based Wave Software, an innovator in the de-duplication, regeneration and export of native electronic data, today announced the launch of Trident 5.2. The upgrade adds new filtering options and faster processing time to its flagship product, Trident Pro, which is the first software in the legal industry that automatically maps and loads processed e-discovery data into common review platforms. Adding additional filtering technologies to Trident allows the client to decrease the size of data sets for review, therefore reducing review costs downstream.
The 2008 Litigation Trends Survey just published by international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. notes that the sheer volume of U.S. litigation remains very large, including the steady churn of new cases nationally. Twelve percent of companies said they had been before a court or other litigation tribunal ill-equipped to deal with complex electronic data discovery. For financial services and technology firms, which have mounds of e-files and other electronically stored data, 19 percent and 18 percent, respectively, reported facing courts and tribunals not up to the challenge.
“The process of discovering electronically stored information (ESI) is getting increasingly expensive as the volume of data explodes,” said Robert Childress, president of Wave Software. “Trident 5.2 provides our clients a way to significantly reduce the cost of electronic discovery by incorporating additional filtering options.”
Trident integrates seamlessly into the law firm, corporate legal or legal service provider’s current workflow processes, allowing users to review electronic data in a standard review tool and isolate the responsive data that can then be delivered to opposing counsel in their native review format. This gives litigants the ability to meet the discovery requests of native files to its fullest definition, saving a firm time and money previously necessary to convert hundreds of GBs of PSTs or NSFs to TIFF images for review. The built-in Native Review Bridge capability automatically maps fields and loads data from Trident Pro to common review platforms such as LexisNexis® Concordance® and others.
Additional features and upgrades with version 5.2 include:
- Ability to mass import source of NSFs or PSTs by dragging file folders for Trident to scan and collect
- Title entire collection of files with subfolders with same custodian name
- Detailed reports on individual filter terms
- Ability to search NSF attachments
- Option to search attachments in filtering
- Embedded DT Search upgraded
- Native Review Bridge automatically detects Concordance version
